| A manure management system for a modern
dairy should be capable of controlling solid or liquid
manure and wastewater from milking Center rooms and parlors,
holding areas, open paved feeding areas, free stall barns,
heifer and calf barns, and dirt exercise and lounging
areas. Unusually milking center wastewater and lot rainfall
runoff should be handled and controlled separately from
the scraped manure. It is important that producers have
a selection of options to accommodate varying herd sizes,
management and production strategies, farm objectives,
locations and climatic factors. |

SEG offers broad range of solutions, applied
for small and large Dairy Farms. The solution depends on economical,
climatic and environmental aspects.
When the wastewater (usually Milking Parlor wastewater) needs
to be reclaimed for nearby crops irrigation, we offer a simple,
cost effective solids separation, as a stand alaone pretreatment
prior to seasonable lagoons storage. This solution prevents scum
and large solids accumulation for easier effluent utilization.
In this case most of the nutrients will be retained and later
consumed by the crops.
When the wastewater is drained into the sewage network, we offer
an intensive solution that can meet effluent sewage discharge
standards. In any case, our approach is to segregate between wet
manure and Milking Center or Milking parlor influents, in order
to avoid cross contamination. Manure should be scraped and later
applied on lands, composted or digested to generate biogas. |
